Load frequency control scheme for a microgrid system with the application of hTLO-DE algorithm

Load frequency control (LFC) is a crucial feature of electric power systems to maintain balance between supply and load demand, thus avoiding deviation the grid frequency. The present work aims implement an effective LFC scheme for microgrid system consisting diesel generator (DEG), wind turbine (WTG) battery storage system. Proportional-integral-double-derivative (PIDD) controllers are used proposed scheme. controller parameters computed using innovative hybrid teaching-learning-optimization differential-evaluation (hTLO-DE) algorithm. main scope lies in application hTLO-DE optimized PIDD DEG-WTG-battery based MG results obtained with compared those traditional PI PID controllers. A critical analysis shows that can provide better dynamic responses terms settling time magnitude oscillations studied under different scenarios generation variations, which establishes robustness PIDD-based
